Rick's Update on Oct 28, 2017

Hello, everybody. This is my weekly update. It’s Saturday, October 28, and let’s see what happened this last week.

The main thing is that I got to see a baby being born, my kids’ younger brother,  a week ago exactly I think. And if you’ve never seen a birth…  It’s a miracle. I recommend it.

What to say about it?

Yeah, this baby was born — Pia just did an amazing amazing job —  born at home in a birth pool in the living room and our two kids were there. And her little guy who’s about a year-and-a-half and Pia’s dad and Leanne, our midwife and friend, and Lianne’s daughter who’s 10.  Yeah, it was just awesome. We were crying. Her little guy Jahnu was reaching out and saying, “Baby, baby.”

And then… I thought things were hectic before that baby came, with all of us staying in the house, and you know it’s just kind of a never-ending flow of meals, washing dishes, playing, kids, squeezing in work when I can, and things just went to a whole ‘nother level when the baby was born, which I’d kind of forgotten about, it’s been that long since my kids were little.

Yes, it got pretty hectic. But also it was so beautiful and such a unique experience to be staying in a house with everyone and…  You know, welcoming this little kid into the world. Such a cute baby.  I think it still has no name.

So that was most of my last week and then two days ago I flew to Bali. So I was at a place about three hours north of Sydney in Australia and then flew to Bali.

And tomorrow I’m starting my 34th Bali Retreat. I have seven awesome participants. One return participant, Alicia. We went to ecstatic dance last night at Yoga Barn. Super fun! There was this DJ named Sophie who I had  never seen or heard before but  sick music. Hope to find her stuff on SoundCloud.

Yeah, so I’m excited. This is my last retreat of the year. And pretty soon, I’ll be setting dates for 2018.

And I mentioned last time about this Storybrand technique for clarifying your business’ and brand’s message, and so where the VysionQuest is at right now is to help you create a successful purpose based business that fulfills your soul’s mission, fuels your playful lifestyle, and changes lives.  VysionQuest has evolved over the last six years, and it feels like this is the clearest that it’s ever been.  What it’s for,  what participants actually get from it. I’m excited about this.

Also got tickets to the states for December and January. Going to go visit my parents in Virginia. Stop in Hawaii on the way over and on the way back. And also spend a few days in New York and do my first, well I’ve done them before like kind of a VisionQuest event that’s a few hours, so we’ll do it one night, one evening in New York.

Yes, I’ve  been wanting to create like kind of a mobile workshop — nice little rice paddy here —  that I can take with me because I travel a lot so I can connect with people, meet people, and share some of this work with them and guide people through a process that you can do just in a few hours that gives people not only a shitload of clarity and inspiration, but also just a taste of what happens in the VysionQuest process.

Okay, I think that’s it. My arm is tired from holding this thing.  Lots of love, everyone. Until next week. Keep breathing. Feeling and following inspiration.

Bye for now.
